We chatted with Alice Anzanello, Media Coordinator to hear how Data Storytelling is helping to give Coordinate an edge over their competition.
Historically, Coordinate's client reports were created using Excel. As they needed to customise each report with a high level of detail for each client the reports were time consuming to create. The team had to put a lot of focus on creating each report, giving them less time to spend on other more value-driving activities.
Nugit Smart Templates enabled Coordinate to create a templated report design for each different situation they regularly update on. This works well for any organisation that sends out regular client reports. Data automatically populates and refreshes for the new date period, allowing Account Managers to focus on making observations and working on optimisation strategy instead of manually sorting through data to compile a report. In Coordinate's case, the team regularly send Monthly Update reports as well as End of Campaign reports & All-Time Performance reports to over 20 different clients. They've also found the Data Stories particularly useful for optimising their budget delivery method for Google ads, ensuring they don’t miss opportunities due to budget being too low for ads to appear. Alice and her team find this easier to see and navigate in Nugit rather than within the Google platform itself.

Coordinate use custom metrics to be able to categorise data by different campaign attributes, marketing platform or classifications. This gives them better visibility of all the important numbers and makes it easier to slice and splice data.

In particular, Alice and her team have found the Day Part Metrics useful as it gives them interesting insight into the timing of peak performance, something they couldn’t have done previously using Excel. The age and gender visualisations are also handy for the team to show insights on how performance varies by audience.
All too often, reports can look complicated and end up being confusing to clients, especially in the media industry where there's a lot of complex terminology being used.
